Cookie Notice

Last updated: 26 March 2026

This Cookie Notice explains how SDACTMS uses cookies and similar technologies on this website and application.

Cookies are small text files, or similar technologies that store or access information on your device when you visit a website or use an online service. UK rules require organisations to explain what these technologies do and why they are used, and consent is generally needed for non-essential uses. 1. What SDACTMS currently uses

At present, SDACTMS uses only strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies required to operate the service securely and correctly.

These may be used for functions such as:

  • authentication and login
  • session management
  • security and fraud prevention
  • maintaining user state during essential workflows
  • protecting access to restricted parts of the platform

Strictly necessary cookies are different from analytics, advertising, or personalisation cookies. Under ICO guidance, consent is generally not required for cookies that are strictly necessary for providing the service requested by the user. 2. What SDACTMS does not currently use

SDACTMS does not currently use:

  • advertising cookies
  • marketing cookies
  • social media tracking cookies
  • non-essential analytics cookies
  • profiling or behavioural advertising technologies

If this changes in future, this Cookie Notice will be updated and, where required, consent will be requested before non-essential cookies or similar technologies are used. ICO guidance states that people must be told about cookies, what they do, and why, and consent is generally needed before storing non-essential cookies on a device. 3. Future analytics

If SDACTMS enables analytics in future, such as Firebase Analytics or Google Analytics for web usage measurement, we will review the legal requirements at that time and implement a consent mechanism where required before enabling non-essential analytics storage or access technologies. ICO guidance expects organisations to manage consent properly in practice, and Google documents consent controls for its tagging technologies. 4. How you can manage cookies

Most browsers allow you to manage cookies through browser settings. Depending on your browser, you may be able to block, delete, or limit cookies. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect login, security, or core SDACTMS functionality.

5. Similar technologies

This notice also applies to similar technologies covered by UK rules, not only traditional cookies. ICO guidance makes clear that the rules apply more broadly to technologies that store information, or access information stored, on a user’s device.
